Our Philosophy and Mission Statement

STEM early childhood center believes that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally and socially. It is our desire as educators to help children meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, invites a sharing of ideas and empowers them to decision-making.

We believe:

1. Mother and father are the primary educators of their children.

2. Every child has the potential to bring something unique/special to the world.

3. The role of a teacher is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own garden of knowledge.

4. The classroom should be caring, safe, equitable and appropriate environment where each child can blossom and grow.

5. Children should be encouraged to study for God’s glory.
